Sonic to go up against The Dark Brotherhood in Bioware's forthcoming Nintendo DS RPG...


SEGA Europe has today announced that the full title of Sonic's debut RPG adventure on Nintendo DS will be Sonic Chronicles: The Dark Brotherhood, confirming speculation of recent weeks.

In development at Bioware, now owned by Electronic Arts as part of their acquisition of VG Holdings in 2007, Sonic Chronicles is currently scheduled for a rather broad '2008' release date.

Reports back in January sourced from Nintendo Power revealed that The Dark Brotherhood will see Sonic and the rest of the Green Hill Zone team party together to rescue Knuckles and retrieve the Chaos Emeralds.

I knew one day Sonic would be in an RPG. Sonic showed everyone he has more than just speed in Sonic Battle for game boy advance, and more recently in Super Smash Bros. Brawl, where he sports very similar attacks. curious if this game will work with t... [ Read full comment... ]

I'm a big fan of Sonic, and with the appearance of Shadow and his Chaos Control abilities, I started to think that a RPG would actually become a reality in the Sonic Universe
