Special packaging, exclusive content and launch events to surround the release of Ueda-san latest magical release...

To celebrate the long-awaited European release of Fumito Ueda and Kenji Kaido Shadow of Colossus across Europe, Sony Computer Entertainment Europe (SCEE) today announced details of the exclusive packaging and content that will reward those who've been waiting for the latest masterpiece.

Following closely to the original release of ICO, Shadow of the Colossus will be presented in special cardboard packaging and contain four unique postcards depicting magical scenes within the game.

Europeans will also benefit from the inclusion of interviews with Ueda and Kaido-san, providing fans a close look at the development of a true epic and understand the heritage behind the game.

SCEE has launched www.shadowofthecolossus.com to provide further information on the game, along with the chance to pose questions Ueda-san. In addition a unique competition for those aspiring to become videogame designers has been setup, challenging contestants to submit designs for a new Colossus. The winner will be handpicked by Ueda-san and the winner will embark on a trip for two to Nepal.

Finally SCEE will host a special event in the UK, allowing fans the chance to play Shadow of the Colossus on a giant 16-metre wide projection via buildings projection technology - if there's a better way to sample this latest piece of magic we'd like to know about it.

Shadow of the Colossus makes its European debut on February 17th; TVG will pull itself away from the screens to bring you a review soon...

p.s. best series ever! and the ending made perfec... [ Read full comment... ]

You's!!!!
Shadow of the Colossus is a prequel to Ico.
Also the ending to shadow was so sad, it wouldve been better if they'd have got the 2 lovers back together.
