SCEA Release First Batch Of PS1 Titles For PSP News

Tekken 2 and the original Syphon Filter now available to download in North America...


Sony Computer Entertainment America has today confirmed the first batch of PlayStation1 titles available to download for PSP.

The system, which works by first downloading a title from PlayStation Store to a PS3, and then transferring it over to the PSP via a USB cable, was demonstrated at E3 2006 by newly-confirmed SCEI President Kaz Hirai with the infamous "RIIIIIIIDGE RACER!" cry. Ironically, Ridge Racer doesn't form part of the first raft of titles...

The list does include however, the original Syphon Filter, Tekken 2, Crash Bandicoot, Cool Boarders, and Hot Shots Golf 2, available for $5.99 (£3.00).

It's Final Fantasy VII sequel. That date is the same time as scheduled Square Enix DKS3713 August 2nd/3rd.

I've heard about something from one of the BBC blog but doesn't say what it is, it might be something to do with that. I doubt there will be a major announcement

The "mystery" game is Heavy Rain, a spiritual sequel to Indigo Prophecy on PlayStation 2 (and Xbox). It is utilizing a brand-new emotion based graphics engine. Similar to Heavenly Sword, but the third-generation version. The devs have gone ... [ Read full comment... ]

i own a ps3. infact i just came off playing it. for methe ps3 is gd for about 1hour, than i get bored and dnt go on it agen until the next day. there is nothing dat can keep me interested in the ps3. the games and pure love e, online always glithche... [ Read full comment... ]

this a good thing over 9 yrs it will happen folk wiil soon tire of wii's and the xbox(which is nearly all shooters, fun 4 a while, but ps3 does more in all ways
