Eastern European developer confirms that the long-delayed titles will be shown at E3 after all...


Following its omission from THQ's E3 line-up last week, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl developer GSC GameWorld have revealed that the title will be at this week's E3 2006 after all. The game, which will be at the show as a single-player demo in THQ's booth, is set in the aftermath of another major incident in Chernobyl, Ukraine with gamers taking the Stalker character into the deepest regions of an exclusion zone where they face the mutated victims of the disaster.

Originally picked up by THQ in 2003, S.T.A.L.K.E.R. Shadow of Chernobyl had been slated for an early 2004 release, but delays and a period of update blackouts had led to speculation on the fate of the game before GSC confirmed in January that development was still continuing.

Sigh there are some bad things about the game other than that its beautiful the shadowing the dynamic weather change, stalkers sitting up at the fire talking eating playing guitar its such an atmospheric game and im not surprised that it won most at... [ Read full comment... ]

I have a low-level pc. My experience with the game has been less than satisfactory.Mostly do to my own hardware restrictions.Game-wise, I can't even load a saved game afer I die. Pretty frustrating. And it can be pretty chppy at times.
