Officially an Xbox 360/PC exclusive, online reports suggest that PS3 could get a port of BioShock...


Despite officially an Xbox 360 and PC exclusive, reports originating from the web have today suggested that 2K Games' BioShock (currently top in the All Format Charts in the UK) could be heading onto PlayStation 3.

Reports from GamePro cite an 'inside source' who claims that the FPS will eventually arrive on the Sony system. Whilst some may think of a potential release of BioShock on PS3 as a blow for Microsoft, it's worth remembering that no official confirmation has been made - and that any PS3 edition would come some time after the now available Xbox 360 version.

Sony has secured a number of titles as timed PlayStation 3 exclusives (including HAZE and Virtua Fighter 5) but the Xbox 360 has received an even larger proportion of unplanned timed releases, including The Darkness, GRAW2, Colin McRae DiRT, and Madden NFL 08...looks like the one-up-man-ship war is set to continue.

I'm as hyped for this movie as the Halo movie, but I hope they go into detail about Rapture before Fontaine, as well as somehow show both endings. (Plot twist for me was a bit predictable.)

I haven't finished bioshock yet, but from what I have played of it, this game rocks!!! I figure I have about an hour or so of game to go, and so far so good. The variety of plasmids & weapons is great, no complaints here. It does make me wonder, ... [ Read full comment... ]
