Flagship Studios' CEO announces that the Multiplayer mode of Hellgate: London will be subscription-based.
Speaking to news aggregator Shacknews, Flagship Studios' Bill Roper has today confirmed that the online Multiplayer portions of Hellgate: London will be subscription-based, although exact fees are yet to be decided upon. Roper also confirmed the likelihood of a free trial to give gamers a small taster.
Although Hellgate: London will include a Single-Player Campaign too, Roper confirmed that the focus on the game will be on its MMO features, which heavily uses Instanced gameplay like ArenaNet's GuildWars franchise, together with additional content not found in the solo Campaign, and dynamically created level design.
There had been speculation that the game would offer free-to-play online gameplay.
