Doom, Quake and Daikatana creator leaves the employment of Midway to explore other ventures...
Esteemed videogame designer John Romero today confirmed that he has left the employment of Midway Studios. The man behind the likes of Doom, Quake and Daikatana claims to have left the US publisher over three weeks ago, moving away from the development of Gauntlet: Seven Shadows as Josh Sawyer exclusively revealed to TVG earlier in the month.
Weâre hoping for a comment from the long-haired legend soon and will bring you an update on the situation shortly; Midway suggests that Romeroâs decision will not affect the release of Gauntlet: Seven Shadows.
