What does the American dream mean today? For Niko Bellic fresh off the boat from Europe, it is the hope he can escape his past. For his cousin, Roman, it is the vision that together they can find fortune in Liberty City, gateway to the land of opportunity. As they slip into debt and get dragged into a criminal underworld by a series of shysters, thieves and sociopaths, they discover that reality is very different from the dream in a city that worships money and status, and is heaven for those who have them and a living nightmare for those who don't.

Rockstar Confirms GTA IV Special Edition News

GTA IV in a metallic safety deposit box chocked full of Rockstar goodies...


Par the course for any game of a certain stature these days, Rockstar Games today confirmed that GTA IV will be given the 'Special Edition' treatment when it's released later in the year on Xbox 360 and PlayStation3.

Although only confirmed for a North American release at present, $89.99 provides:
  • The game in a customised metal safety deposit box
  • A book featuring never-before-seen production artwork from the game
  • An exclusive Rockstar keychain for the safety deposit box keys
  • A limited edition Rockstar duffel bag


We'll have confirmation of the European plans shortly.

This is by far my favorite video game franchises. Already beat GTAIV and at 70% going for 100% (I work 40+ hours a week so give me a break :P some of us still love video games but gotta pay the bills)

and befor anyone jumps the gun the comment about the 360's hdmi wasnt about the game just the overall image quality gained using hdmi (1 up for sony for using the best possible connection for hd output)

gta is one of the best games i have ever played . the disk though has stopped working so have to get it exchanged at store because faulty ....looking forward to play it tommorow night

you can do ANYTHING in GTA IV? Are you kidding me? You have played the game right? IT may well be a 8.5/9 game (no way it's a 10) and yes - R* did pretty much invent the snadbox genre but what fun is a sandbox when you have no toys to play with in... [ Read full comment... ]
