Rockstar London's debut title a follow up to one of the most controversial titles in videogaming...
Rockstar Games has today confirmed the development of Manhunt 2, a follow up to the 2003 title, with a planned release on Wii, PlayStation2, and PSP during this summer.
Whilst the Wii version is being developed at Rockstar's Toronto Studio, marking the Canadian outfit's second title after 2005's The Warriors, the PlayStation2 version will be the first title from Rockstar's London Studio. Rockstar Leeds is taking the helm of the PSP version.
"With Manhunt 2 we have tried to create a game that stays close to the original concept of chilling suspense and stealth, whilst pushing the game design and storytelling forward," said Sam Houser, Founder and Executive Producer of Rockstar Games. "We are also excited to have our newest development team, Rockstar London, working on the title alongside our two established UK studios, Rockstar North and Leeds."
Further details are yet to emerge, but we can only imagine what Wii-remote controls Rockstar Toronto has in store for gamers in a few months time. After the release of Table Tennis and the school-based antics of Canis Canem Edit, it seems that Rockstar is once again preparing to court controversy.
