NAMCO confirm launch release date and a smattering of online options...
Bolstering the Xbox360 within Japan during the recent Xbox360 Summit and helping to establish an impressive line-up for the region, NAMCO today revealed details on how the latest instalment in the drift-racer series is shaping up in the online stakes.
Ridge Racer 6 will make the franchises first appearance into the world of online with head-to-head options, complimenting the ability to upload times from the Time Attack mode onto a persistent leaderboard and download ghost data to practise against. In addition, new content such as cars and presumably tracks will be made available to download via the Xbox Live Marketplace.
Xbox Live addicts will already be accustomed to such features however with the promise of an Xbox Live Silver subscription free to all Xbox360 owners, itās likely that such options will be under increased demand.
Ridge Racer 6 has been confirmed to launch alongside the Xbox360 in North America, which is widely considered to occur shortly before launches later in November for both Japan and Europe.
