Harmonix and MTV Games announce a 20 song retail track pack for Rock Band Wii and PS2 in the US...

Harmonix and MTV Games have announced that a Track Pack of 20 songs will be made available for Rock Band on Wii and PS2. The Track Pack will be released in the US on July 15th as a boxed copy for retail, although there is no confirmation of when or if the pack will come to Europe.

As the pack is titled Rock Band Track Pack Volume I, we can only assume that more retail packs of additional songs will be made available for Wii and PS2 in the future. Unlike with the Xbox 360 and PS3, it's not possible for Wii and PS2 owners to download additional tracks digitally for Rock Band due to insufficient storage capacities or online infrastructures.

Here's the 20 tracks that will come on the disc, which is set to retail at $29.99:

- 30 Seconds to Mars 'The Kill'
- All American Rejects 'Move Along'
- Blink - 182 'All the Small Things'
- Boston 'More Than a Feeling'
- David Bowie 'Moonage Daydream'
- Faith No More 'We Care A Lot'
- Grateful Dead 'Truckin''
- The Hives 'Die, All Right!'
- KISS 'Calling Dr. Love'
- Lynyrd Skynyrd 'Gimme' Three Steps'
- Nine Inch Nails 'March of the Pigs'
- Oasis 'Live Forever'
- Paramore 'Crushcrushcrush'
- The Police 'Synchronicity II'
- Queens of the Stone Age 'Little Sister'
- Ramones 'Teenage Lobotomy'
- Smashing Pumpkins 'Siva'
- Stone Temple Pilots 'Interstate Love Song'
- Weezer 'Buddy Holly'
- Wolfmother 'Joker & the Thief'

The Wii version of Rock Band is yet to be released in the US and is scheduled to hit American store shelves on June 22nd.

Oh, good. I was hoping we could start seeing additional game discs for this franchise on the PS2 (since we can't do the downloads thing like the 360 or PS3). Love that they've gotten the rights to use Teenage Lobotomy, too!
