SCE announce lineup of online titles and guess what... there`s a Resident Evil Online title in the works...
Sony recently announced details of their PS2 online plans, plus a list of games initially in development with online play. The biggest news was that Capcom are working on an online Resident Evil title, yes whilst Resident Evil 0, 1 & 4 will remain GameCube exclusives, it appears that the franchise isn`t....
A total of 30 games were announced at the conference. Many publishers refused to release specific name, citing only genres. The next biggest news was the confirmation of Gran Turismo Online, here`s the final list:

Sony also explained the navigator behind the PS2 online plans. Here`s a quick overview of it`s features:
- PS/Ps2 Emulator: Plays PSOne and PS2 games downloaded from the network.
- Mail/Instant Messenger: Send e-mail and chat online.
- Playstation Jukebox: Play music downloaded from the network and stored on the HDD.
- Real Player: Custom designed Real Player for the PS2, allowing you to playback streaming video.
In addition SCE announced partnerships with four major Japanese ISP`s; Fujitsu's Nifty, NEC's Biglobe, Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corp. SCE President Ken Kutaragi told reporters and developers at the conference that with the help of these four partners, PlayStation BB would be able to reach more than 90 percent of Japan's broadband users.
The Sony broadband online service is scheduled for April in Japan.
