Reports Suggests Massive CES Presence For Sony News

The countdown to CES 2006 begins with reports that Sony is set for their biggest presence at the show in years...


Reports on consumer electronic site Twice have suggested that Sony may be about to make their biggest presence felt at the annual Consumer Electronic Show (CES) to held in Las Vegas in January 2006. According to the article Sonyâs booth at the show will take centre stage at 25,000 square foot, and will be used as a platform to show off the companyâs latest gadgetry â“ including PlayStation3.

Coupled with that is the news that opening the Keynote speeches (after the State of the Industry speech by President and CEO, Consumer Electronics Association (CEA)Gary Shapiro and a pre-opening speech by Bill Gates the night before) will be Sony CEO and Chairman, my fellow Welshman, Sir Howard Stringer.

TVG contacted Sony about their plans for the conference, but a spokesperson for the company said, âWe [Sony] have no further comments on our presence at CES at the moment.â

Weâll have more news on CES 2006 in future weeks.

Why do people say its ffVII sequel!!! If you read the initial story it says it has nothing to do with ffV11 and its not an RPG!! Chances are there is no big announcement and it was a big joke!!

i think it will be exclusive and iv heard about a new metal gear called Metal Gear 3: Revolver Ocelot and this was in the rumour section of the official uk ps3 magazine it also said if its true expect it also to be announce in the next month ... [ Read full comment... ]

It's Final Fantasy VII sequel. That date is the same time as scheduled Square Enix DKS3713 August 2nd/3rd.
