Introducing another comical duo for the PS2, Ratchet & Crank, the first game FROM the creators of Spyro...
The first screens from Ratchet & Crank were released on the net today. The PS2 game is currently under development at Insomniac Games, the developer responsible for the Spyro games released on the PSOne.
As Naughty Dog did with Crash Bandicoot, Insomniac Games took the risky decision to leave their profitable PSOne license for new ideas. Funnily enough, Ratchet & Crank bears a striking similarity to Jak & Daxter in both visuals and gameplay mechanics, using the same graphics engine that Naughty Dog created for the hit PS2 title and implementing the two protagonists in a similar way.
Ratchet & Crank is nearly complete; weâll take a closer look at E3.
