Rare Urges Fans To Wait For Banjo 3 News

Rare confirms to TVG that you shouldn't judge a game from its screenshots and promises the most ambitious game to-date...

Anybody with an internet browser must have come across the first leaked screens from Banjo 3 across the weekend, and with them the wave of opinions surrounding what appears to be Banjo in a combat/vehicle game.

Responding to the situation, a Rare spokesperson commented to TVG that the Twycross based developer was frustrated with the leak and urged fans to wait until people have actually played it before making up opinions.

Promising that Banjo 3 is the "most ambitious game to date" to come from the UK developer, Rare's spokesperson claimed that people would really need to wait and play it before discovering exactly what innovative game mechanics lurk within the game, but assured TVG that's it's "definitely not just a racing game".

Unfortunately despite being quite vocal about the need not to form opinions from a set of screenshots, Rare was slightly less forthcoming about whether or not the legendary 'Stop 'n' Swap' feature would make a return in Banjo 3.

"I couldn't possibly make a comment... yet", was the response given to TVG when we applied the thumbscrews on the one thing that Banjo fans should be getting into a steam about.

I hope they don't the same to Banjo as they did to that poor drunk lil squirrel Conkers. I honestly feel they ruined that game and I hope they don't do the same to one of my favorite N64 video game series.

I find it cool that Banjo will be back t... [ Read full comment... ]

Most ambitious game to date - I'm looking forward to seeing whether Banjo 3 can actually accomplish this given Rare's past pedigree.
