Lumines is an addictive, hip, and stylistic musical puzzler reminiscent of Tetris that transcends any puzzle game to date. Created by renowned designer Tetsuya Mizuguchi of REZ, Sega Rally, and Space Channel 5 fame, this puzzle game delivers a unique gameplay experience that challenges players to bust blocks while grooving to evolving rock, techno, and pop musical scores.

Tetsuya Mizuguchi reveals his new title during the recent Playstation Business Briefing…

During the recent Playstation Business Briefing, in which the slimline PS2 was announced amongst many other surprises, the latest title from Tetsuya âREZâ Mizuguchi has finally been revealed.

Described as an action/puzzle game, Lumines is claimed to merge light and sound in much the same way as REZ pioneered the way back in 2002.

The presentation also revealed a few interesting details about Mizuguchi-san new company, entitled Q-Entertainment; whilst the solitary screenshot from the presentation revealed that Bandai are currently publishing the title in Japan.
