Bow down and witness the mighty power of the Cube to great effect...
Even hardcore RE fanatics will admit that the series is in dire need of an overhaul to bring it into the new millennium, the fact remains that whilst visuals have been improved across the different formats that the titles have appeared on, the gameplay remains rooted in 1996.
Well Resident Evil 4 looks like doing just that, Capcom have shed a little information on the title to TVG; most importantly you can expect a completely reworked control system that bears more resemblance to Devil May Cry whilst keeping the same pacing of RE titles. When the Resident Evil remake first arrived on the GameCube the visuals more then made up for the outdated gameplay, however you only have to take one look at these screens and realise that itās all now in real-time, just like code Veronica was on the Dreamcast. Quite how Capcom have managed to create the whole thing in real-time and still keep the level of character detail seen in Resident Evil and Resident Evil 0 is a mystery to us, but one that truly shows the power of the Cube to great effect.
Surprisingly, Capcom confirmed to us that the game is around 60% complete, which suggests that the 200X release will be 2003, we canāt wait!
