Quake IV To Hit North America On October 18th News

The sequel to Quake II set to hit the North American retailers on in a fortnights time...
Actvision and id Software has today announced that the narrative follow-up of Quake II, Quake IV, will be released for PC in North American on October 18th. Continuing the battle against the Strogg, players take control of Matthew Kane, a member of the Earth Defense Forcesâ Rhino Squad.
The game is also set for release on Xbox 360 although an exact release for that, or indeed a European launch date for the game in Europe, has yet to be confirmed.
Making the announcement, CEO, id Software Todd Hollenshead commented that, âOn October 18, QUAKE is dialing [sic] it up to 4.0 on the Richter Scale with this new chapter in Earthâs war against the Stroggâ¦Fusing an epic war-story driven single player campaign, and fast-paced QUAKE III Arena® inspired multiplayer, QUAKE 4 delivers a gaming experience fans will be raving about for years.â
