Konami have announced the re-worked name for World Soccer Winning Eleven 5 + screens.

Konami of Europe earlier today confirmed the next game in the critically acclaimed Pro Evolution series. The franchise, known as World Soccer Winning Eleven in Japan has sold in excess of 5 million copies worldwide. The title, the fifth in the series will be renamed for the European market as ISS Pro Evolution.

By exploiting the technology of the PlayStation 2, Pro Evolution Soccer delivers an even more realistic gaming experience and will be, without doubt, the most advanced, entertaining and challenging football game ever made.

Konami has secured the FIFPro licence, which provides for the use of actual player names and likenesses throughout the game. Jaw-dropping graphics ensure that players are even more animated with both facial characteristics and movements expressed even more realistically.

The freedom of motion each of the 200 team players has been tripled compared to that seen in ISS Pro Evolution 2 with a much wider range of actions available. The AI engine has also been improved to take advantage of the processing speed of the new hardware so each playerâs playing style and originality is more detailed.

Itâs not just the players who benefit from the high-resolution graphics; options now include rain, day and night, and fireworks, confetti and smoke markers can be seen in the stadium.

In addition to the modes of play included in Pro Evolution Soccer: Exhibition, League, Cup, Training and Master League, the number of stadium has increased to seven plus one training ground.

In Pro Evolution Soccer, just like in real football, youâll need to utilise precision thinking, running and passing to have a chance of scoring. In order to increase sensitivity and realism, Pro Evolution Soccer is fully analogue compatible so the direction and strength of pass varies according to pressure on the buttons. On top of all of this, by using a couple of multi-tap 2s youâll be able to play along with seven mates.

Pro Evolution Soccer, the gamerâs football game of choice, is coming soon throughout Europe from Konami on PlayStation 2, release date to be confirmed.
