Playstation2 Riddick In the Works??? News

Vin Diesel suggests that a Playstation2 version of the hit shooter is being readied for a Christmas release…
In a recent interview with Vin Diesel featured on www.comingsoon.net, the videogame obsessed actor let slip details suggesting that a Playstation2 version of the hit Chronicles of Riddick: Escape from Butcher Bay is in the works for a Christmas 2004 release.
Diesel appeared to be quite surprised that the game was released as an Xbox eclsuive, claiming âThatâs a question I have.â When asked why the game was released solely on the Xbox and proceeded to state that he is âtrying to get the PS2 game by Christmas; to release with the DVD.â
When contacted regarding the situation a Vivendi-Universal spokesperson claimed that a Playstation2 version wasnât planned, and given the technical achievements of the Xbox version weâd be impressed to see it running on the Playstation2 â“ that said before the developers applied ânormal mappingâ visual techniques the game didnât look so spectacular and was certainly closer to any other first-person-shooter on the market.
