Insomniac lifts the lid of the duo's next-gen debut in a US publication...
Announced by Insomniac Games' CEO Ted Price at GDC 2006, the PlayStation3 debut of Ratchet & Clank has largely been kept under wraps for nearly twelve months, with the studio focusing on Resistance: Fall of Man.
However, with the release of the game formerly known as I-8, the team are now working on bringing Ratchet & Clank to the next-gen system. Today, the studio has revealed a snippet of information on the title to US-based 1UP, confirming the full name of the instalment as Ratchet & Clank: Tools of Destruction.
Speaking to US publication EGM, Brian Allgeier, Design Director at Insomniac said: "The name Ratchet & Clank Future: Tools of Destruction works on many levels. It signals a new era for the franchise, ties into the game's story, and includes one of our signature subtitle double entendres."
