SCEE confirms that a limited edition pink PS2 will be available across Europe; new colour to debut at Leipzig...
Sony Computer Entertainment Europe has today announced that a limited edition pink PlayStation2 will be released across the territory from November 8th - just over a week before the PlayStation3 arrives on our shores - and will feature a pink DualShock2 controller and pink Memory Card.
"PlayStation 2 is the accessible, affordable way to enjoy new social, communal and interactive entertainment experiences, through software titles like SingStar, Buzz and EyeToy", said Dan Hill, PlayStation 2 European Brand Manager. "The Pink PlayStation 2 is funky, fresh, and fashionable, and will further broaden the console's continuing popularity and relevance with a fun new twist".
UK gamers will be getting an added extra with their bundle of pink, with news that a copy of SongStar: Pop will be included - though perhaps SingStar: Anthems would have been more...apt.
Sony has confirmed that the limited edition PS2 will retail for 159.99 Euros and £129.99 in the UK.
