Legendary recording artist lends his voice to a monk in Myst IV: Revelation, as well as collaborating on the soundtrack…
With just over a week until the Myst franchise is expanded upon with Myst IV: Revelation, news from Ubisoft confirms that Peter Gabriel has lent his voice to a monk at the gateway to the âZenâ inspired world of Serenia.
In addition to that, Gabriel has also collaborated with composer, Jack Wall, to create the soundtrack for the forthcoming title. Discussing the Myst series, Gabirel said that, " I thought it succeeded well in creating a feeling of other worlds in which mystery and imagination were the compelling elements instead of the usual action-packed 'shoot 'em ups'â¦I think there is some similarity with the way I try and create worlds of sound. I very much enjoyed working on Myst IV Revelation."
And it appears that Jack Wall also enjoyed working with Gabriel, â"It was such a privilege and pleasure to work with Peter Gabriel. His voice contribution is wonderful and the song he wrote and performed is a perfect fit to the soundtrack. The Warsaw Village Band, the Slovak Radio Orchestra and the Los Angeles Choir helped to create a soundtrack as compelling as the visuals and gameplay,"
