A huge selection of screens from the triumphant return of Mario & Luigi...
For years weâve been crying out for a âproperâ Mario Bros game, thankfully our prayers look to have been answered, as Paper Mario 2 looks likely to deliver beyond all of our expectations.
Although not entirely a platformer, its 2D style is far more akin to previous Mario titles then the likes of Mario 64 or Super Mario Sunshine could ever hope to achieve. Borrowing a few elements from the popular GBA outing Mario & Luigi: Superstar Saga, Paper Mario 2 implements a âTiming Actionâ system to help you dodge or inflict damage between both Mario and Luigi; whilst the game makes extensive use of its 2D style by allowing Mario to fold into a paper airplane to take to the air.
Without doubt Paper Mario 2 is shooting up our list of most anticipated titles for 2004; quite simply itâs a true Mario game, you can have Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine, we want Mario and Luigi together again, lots of special items and crazy action â“ Paper Mario 2 should deliver by the bucketload.
