Sony confirm a Japanese release date for the Home Entertainment system...
Sony Computer Entertainment Japan (SCEJ) today confirmed that the PSX would go on sale in Japan on December 13th, ending speculation that the machine would slip into 2004.
The Home Entertainment centre, which features a Playstation2 at its core with DVD-R capabilities, a digital TV tuner and a HDD to record TV programmes, game footage and digital music will appear in two versions with different sized HDD.
No official announcement has been made for a Western release date, however weâre expecting a mid-2004 release in Europe; weâll have more information soon.
