PSP Delayed Q2 2005??? News

CNN suggests that the PSP will be pushed back one again; however we have our doubts…

CNN Game Over column is today reporting that Sonyâs PSP could be pushed back even further into 2005.

Initially a worldwide Christmas release was slated for the PSP, however both the American and European launches were pushed back to Q1 2005. Citing comments allegedly made by Activisionâs CEO Bobby Kotick to investors, this could again be pushed back into Q2 2005.

A Sony Computer Entertainment America (SCEA) representative firmly denied the report, although leading financial analysts have also expressed doubt, claiming that a Christmas 2004 is rated as only â50-50â and that any subsequent delays to Japan would impede the Western launch of Sonyâs handheld format.

The report does however lack anything substantial in backing up the suggestion, with no reasoning assigned to Kotickâs alleged comments â“ and to be honest weâd never really trust what financial analysts have to say.

UMD already dead. Sony has nothing to lose by adding
SD stuff on the Blu-ray discs for PSP viewing.

good point but i think i would only pay about $250 and not bother with the touch screen.with mobile tec in there you could play games over the net any time any where but only at a reasonable price of course.

Sony should have added a 40 or 80 gig internal hard drive like the ipod to the psp instead of making it thinner and lighter! With the extra space it would be

JAZZ-1991, what the hell are you talking about? The PSP redesign is 19% slimmer and 33% lighter than the original PSP. The buttons are more responsive, it supports tv out, has twice the RAM. There is no need to make it any smaller, it feels great in ... [ Read full comment... ]
