PS3: Harrison Fails To Commit To March Launch In Europe News

Sony's President of World Wide Studios refuses to be drawn on a definite European launch date for PlayStation3...
In an interview with the UK edition of Official PlayStation Magazine, Sony Computer Entertainment's President of World Wide Studios, Phil Harrison, has refused to pin down March 2007 as the launch period for PlayStation3 in Europe. Airing very much on the edge of caution, Harrison said:
"Given that all of our previous statements about launching in Europe simultaneously with the US and Japan turned out not to be the case, I would not like to make any definitive statements on that. It's not my job to comment on hardware supply issues other than to say some very smart people are working very hard to catch up. In fact, the ramp up is already starting to happen in supply and output, just obviously too late for us to have launched in Europe at the same time as the US."
Whilst it isn't Harrison's role to speak about a definitive launch for the next-gen system in Europe, the manner in which he diverted the question may cause patient would-be PS3 gamers across the continent to get that extra bit nervous. That said, his comments far from suggest that a further delay to the PlayStation3 in Europe is imminent, but we'll just to wait with baited breath and see.

there is a page for the 360 and for the wii, why cant people go multi format.
