New career mode, dynamic weather, and a growing fanbase to cheer your progress - we want this now...
It's hard to get too excited about screenshots in these days of HD trailers, but the release of the first shots from PGR4 a couple of days ago managed to wet our desire for sliding around a soaking St. Petersburg in Arial Atoms. Thankfully, it hasn't taken too long for Microsoft to release the first in-game footage and details from what's already shaping up to be a monumental addition to the critically-acclaimed and wildly popular series.
An all-new Career mode lies at the heart of the experience. Enhancing your recognition through an expanding career and vehicle collection, Project Gotham Racing 4 will boost racing-fanatics ego's with a growing fanbase that cheers you on at the races, reacting to every manoeuvre and greeting you at the finishing line.
A revised Kudos system rewards flair and driving style along with technical skill, with racers pumping their fists and exhibiting far more emotion then ever before as they pass opponents and carve up the track. Alongside, Bizarre Creations have re-written the AI system behind the game, resulting in individual personalities behind the opponents on the track.
Obviously it's all about the Dynamic Weather system that the Liverpool based studio are integrating in the game, which will ensure that every race is far from a forgone conclusion, with unexpected rainstorms and snow flurries constantly changing the experience.
Promising 10 different locations that includes Shanghai and St. Petersburg, a close look at some of the screens released so far suggests that a return to London could also be on the cards.
Renowned for presenting some of the world's most iconic cars from illustrious manufacturers, the first information on the title reveals a glimpse of what to expect from PGR4:
2004 TVR Sagaris
1965 Chevrolet Corvette Sting Ray
2005 Vanwall GPR V12
1993 Toyota Supra Turbo
2005 Gumpert Apollo
1997 Panoz GTR-1 Coupe
2006 Ferrari 599 GTB Fiorano
1957 Maserati 250F

I'll admit PGR2 had more content, etc... - but that's what comes from rushing to have a luanch game - it wasnt that bad.
