The DS and PSP versions of Konami's beautiful game are scheduled for Q1 2008 releases...
Konami has announced that the handheld version of PES 2008, on Nintendo DS and Sony's PSP, are scheduled for Q1 releases across Europe. The PS2, next-gen and PC versions of the game were released in October, so handheld gamers will presumably be chomping at the bit by now to get hold of this year's PES.
The PSP game is set to share many of the features of its PS2 cousin, with an all-new World Tour Mode being the icing on this year's PES PSP cake. In this new mode, PSP owners will take on a variety of challenges from across the globe. Compatibility with the PS2 version will also feature, allowing Sony fans to upload their PS2 Master League/World Tour/League/Cup Mode information onto their PSP and continue the fight away from home.
The DS' casual style has also been accounted for with Exhibition, Penalty Shoot-Out, Konami Cup and a variant on the aforementioned World Tour Mode. Additionally, wireless play is as accessible as possible, with four player matches being available and single card download matches for one-on-one games. Further features include a coin system to unlock star players and the opportunity for player trades between DS owners.
