Oxygen Interactive announces the development of a new FPS for the Playstation2, Xbox and PC...
Oxygen Interactive today announced the development of a new first-person-shooter for the Playstation2, Xbox and PC. Currently in development at the highly respected KuJu Entertainment and scheduled for release in March 2005, Conspiracy: Weapons of Mass Destruction sees players assuming the role of Cole Justice, a hard-talking, no-nonsense mercenary and all-round tough guy, who has been brought out of retirement for one final assignment for the Secret Service Agency.
Cole will have to stop Hydra - a rogue government agency - from selling weapons of mass destruction to terrorists around the world, in what is described to be a âhighly frantic first person shooterâ.
The game has been built upon the engine that KuJu created for Warhammer 40,000: Fire Warrior, and features five sprawling levels that take in locations such as secret bases in Aztec ruins to military training camps in the Artic circle.
Cole has access to a number of powerful weapons, including pistols, assault rifles, sub-machine-guns, sniper rifles, grenade launchers and rocket launchers.
The game is certainly looking quite tasty at this stage, however whether or not Conspiracy: Weapons of Mass Destruction can bring anything new to what has become a crowded genre with a string of AAA titles, remains to be seen; weâll have a chat with the team soon and bring you more information.
