Outrun 2 Heading To PS2 & Xbox??? News

Amazon are at it again with listings for a PS2 and Xbox conversion of the hit sequel…
Fresh from the incorrect listing of âGTA IV: Sin Cityâ, Amazon.co.uk were today at it again with listings for Xbox and PS2 ports of SEGAâs arcade title âOutrun 2â.
Previously SEGA has maintained that the game will never appear outside of the arcades, however weâve got our doubts, although thatâs not to say weâre convinced by Amazon just of yet. Outrun is a fond franchise amongst SEGA fanatics, to not release it in the homes would be a crying shame, however it has to be said that the content of the game doesnât suit a home conversion ideally.
The listing claims that both the PS2 and Xbox versions will be released in Europe on August 13th 2004; although weâd like to see it, we certainly wonât be saving the pennies until then.
Weâll have more on âOutrun 2â soon; just remember not to trust online retailers for the low-down on game releases.
