Outrun2 + Virtua Cop 3 Home Conversion Unlikely News

SEGA make yet another staggering announcement with the chances of Outrun 2 or VC3 arriving on Xbox unlikely...
In a move that highlights the dubious decisions currently being made by Sega, the Japanese publisher today commented that the chances of seeing both âVirtua Cop 3â and âOutrun 2â on the Xbox are minimal.
Despite running on Chihiro hardware, SEGA confirmed that they would have to release a new light-gun controller with the game and that the retail price would be too high.
Bizarrely this didnât stop them from releasing âHouse of the Dead 3â without a light-gun controller and to be perfectly honest thereâs a decent supply of third-party guns that are more then capable of doing the job.
The news of no âOutrun 2â home conversion comes as a bigger disappointment however. Being fans of the original we had high hopes of an Xbox conversion with stunning Xbox Live! features, but sadly itâs looking unlikely rthat weâlls ee this outside of the arcades.
Which in turn makes the decisions even more perplexing; given the current state of the arcade industry itâs likely that many gamers will completely miss out on these classics that deserve as much wide-scale appeal as possible.
