Famitsu reveals Onimusha 4, leaving us to ask when is a trilogy not a trilogy…

We should come to expect it from Capcom; when a series proves to be successful they sure know how to milk itâ¦

Originally always intended as a trilogy, it seems as though the success of Onimusha 3 in Japan has prompted the publisher to have a change of mind as the first details of Onimusha 4 were today released on to the net via an article in Famitsu.

Entitled Onimusha 4: Bushido Never Dies, itâs believed that Keiji Inafune and his team will once again enlist the aid of a deceased actor to play the main role; Onimusha fans will recall that the second title in the series cast Yûsaku Matsuda in the position some thirteen years after his death.

This time around the rumours suggest that famed French actor Louis de Funès will play the role of Charles Duchemin; a police chief who must assist Samanosuke in his final attempt to put an end to Cyber-Nobunga â“ yeah rightâ¦

Onimusha 4: Bushido Never Dies is scheduled for release in Japan on March 25 2005; our thanks to GameKult for the heads-up scan courtesy of Famitsu - let's just hope it's not somebody's idea of an April Fool!!!
