Official UK PS3 Launch Figure In Official UK Mag??? News

Online reports emerge commenting on the supposed number of PlayStation3s available on day one in the UK...


Whilst Sony puts the global launch figures for PlayStation3 at two million units, the company hasn't yet revealed the number of consoles available in each of the key territories. However, according to reports on German-language site Gamefront.de, figures for the UK have been confirmed by Sony in Official PlayStation2 Magazine UK.

According to the online article, just 150,000 PlayStation3 units will be made available for the UK launch window on November 17th, so it doesn't take much to imagine many disappointed gamers enjoy a bit of a wait before receiving the next-gen console - if the figure is accurate.

The news comes as the latest in a line of negative stories surrounding the PlayStation3 in recent weeks, including doubts over the console's hardware performance compared to Microsoft's Xbox 360.

lol also for anyone with a brain you can buy a western digital 2.5 sata 320gb hdd for just under £50 twice the size for the same price as buying the 80gb with the 320gb hdd as the 160gb ps3 (lol yet again another sony rip off for the uk) whos c... [ Read full comment... ]

lol anyone up for £55 of content on the £355 160gb ps3 (and i thought the ps3 was supposed to be future proof with this news obviously not as this case has proved)though knowing sony the actual uk price will more than likely be higher pro... [ Read full comment... ]

Why do people say its ffVII sequel!!! If you read the initial story it says it has nothing to do with ffV11 and its not an RPG!! Chances are there is no big announcement and it was a big joke!!
