Oblivion is a single-player game that takes place in Tamriel's capital province, Cyrodiil. You are given the task of finding the hidden heir to a throne that sits empty, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown assassin. With no true Emperor, the gates to Oblivion (the equivalent of hell in the world of Tamriel) open, and demons begin to invade Cyrodiil and attack its people and towns. It's up to you to find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.

Bethesda reveals the next set of downloadable content for Elder Scrolls IV...


With the Goonies-like setting of The Thieves Den available in the last week, Bethesda has been quick to beat the marketing drum for the next set of downloadable content for Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion. Entitled Mehrunes' Razor, the forthcoming quest sees players look for the Daedric Artefact of the same name, an object so powerful that it can kill enemies instantaneously. Arch-Mage Telvanni is also after the artefact however as he tries to bring down the Imperial lands.

Besides the Mehrunes' Razor artefact, players will also have access to a dozen new books and 17 new magic items as they try to thwart the latest plans to take Tamriel. Mehrunes' Razor features the largest dungeon in all of Cyrodiil, and will be the fifth set of downloadable content since the release of Oblivion at the end of March.

A launch date for Mehrunes' Razor is yet to be announced; we'll have more news shortly...

all of you people that say its not working becasue a quest pop up wont come thats not important its a minor script problem all you do is go to the island og near the bravil in niban bay and whenn your there you can get the quest message and the game... [ Read full comment... ]

im having the same problem as every1 elss iv got the knights of the nine and shivering isles but no profit no gate even after literaly 1000 hours in every city every part of the imperial city too im giving up! (even after the upgrade to oblivion 1.2)

I got Shivering Isles for 360,but when I enter the Strange Door,the loading screen comes up,then nothing else. The game doesn't freeze(My xbox is working,and the music is still playing in the background of the loading screen)yet, the area never loads... [ Read full comment... ]

It says that i've downloaded it onto my xbox and oblivion, but when i wait or sleep 24 hours it does not come up with a quest!
