Oblivion is a single-player game that takes place in Tamriel's capital province, Cyrodiil. You are given the task of finding the hidden heir to a throne that sits empty, the previous emperor having been killed by an unknown assassin. With no true Emperor, the gates to Oblivion (the equivalent of hell in the world of Tamriel) open, and demons begin to invade Cyrodiil and attack its people and towns. It's up to you to find the lost heir to the throne and unravel the sinister plot that threatens to destroy all of Tamriel.

Vark's playing the game and notching up achievements; the lucky blighter...


Oblivion must be on the way. Or so say some crafty Xbox Live gamers who've noticed that a gamer known as Vark, has notched up Achievements on Bethesda's hugely anticipated epic RPG.

Now, either Oblivion is more engrossing then we originally thought or gaining achievements is a lot easier then we'd imagine, as Vark has collected 38% of the total number available in just two days. That said, the Achievement system may not be fully functional with the game, as TVG recently noted when Far Cry Instincts Predator gave them out for little effort.

One thing's for certain, the next chapter in The Elder Scrolls can't be too far way...

Oblivion does not support XBOX Live. It's just you and the vast beuatiful universe of Cyrodiil.

in case anyone else whonders...to summon the deadra Hermaeus Mora, you must complete all the other daedric missions.... I only needed one, and that was Namira!!! I dindn't know how to summon her...but now I know!! your personality must 20 or lower...... [ Read full comment... ]

no need, I figured it out:)... and by the way anonymous...if you want to kill a ghost, then use a daedric, silver, ebony or magic weapon...

Hi I was Able to play xbox live with alot of my sports games ( for example fight night ) because its in the games main menu but for oblivion i cant figure out how to play live, i click the live banner on dashboard nothing happens. Help please!
