Lionhead's follow-up continues gather momentum as the developer releases one or two details...
In their latest developer diary, Lionhead Studios has released a few small nuggets of information on Fable 2, which was announced at Microsoft's E3 2006 conference in May.
Whilst boulder-sized bits of details remain hidden behind the walls and doors of Lionhead HQ, the company has confirmed that Fable 2 will take place around 500 years after the events of Fable/Fable: The Lost Chapters. According to Lionhead, the decision was made to "...[allow] for some vital changes in the world of Albion, the characters and setting, but also to build further upon the heritage and back story."
Obviously the studio doesn't want to spoil the storyline of the game, but they do state that Fable 2 will be more mature, and that it won't rehash the storyline of betrayal told in the first title...it will also be longer than the original Fable.
We'll have more on Fable 2 in the coming months...
