Okami tells the story of a mythical sun god who sets out to restore a dismal world, decimating the forces of evil that stand in the way by commanding the elements and mythical abilities the deity possesses. Mixing Japanese folklore and a stunning traditional Japanese art style, players must utilise an inventive control scheme to overcome the challenges and evil that awaits.

Okami and Oblivion lead the pack for the 2007 Game Developer Choice Awards...


Having been omitted from the AIAS Nominations, Capcom's epic adventure Okami has been justifiably recognised in the list for the 2007 Game Developer Choice Awards, which take place on March 7th in San Francisco. The stylish title, which is released in Europe this Friday (February 9th), is up for four awards - Best Game, Character Design, Game Design, and Visual Art. Bethesda's Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion is also up for four awards, with Xbox 360 exclusives Viva Piņata and Gears of War nominated for three each.
