No Western Release For Virtua Fighter: Cyber Generation??? News

Western reports suggest we’ll never see the recently announced title, however we’re not convinced just of yet…

Various reports on the net are today suggesting that the recently announced âVirtua Fighter: Cyber Generationâ will never see a release outside of Japan.

This seems to stem from comments made by SEGA that claim the title is not currently scheduled for release in Europe or America; in fact when we asked the kind people at Sega of Europe recently, they claimed exactly the same thing.

However this is routine for the videogames industry, with the game still in development American and European release dates are the last things on the minds of the developers; this isnât saying the game will never be released, itâs simply saying theyâve not decided when as of yet.

Having seen the cold reaction of most Virtua Fighter fans though, it has to be said that SEGA will probably take this into account when making a final decision as to whether to release the game here or not. Certainly if that was the case then SEGA fans around the world would probably feel extremely let down, âVirtua Fighter Questâ was arguably one of the most eagerly awaited titles from SEGA, to not have it would be criminal as far as the SEGA hardcore are concerned.

Weâll have more on the situation soon.
