More on this gameIf you're waiting for the PS3 price to drop before taking the plunge then you could be waiting a little longer.
"The answer is yes, if you're asking, 'Are these the prices we're going with this Christmas?'", boldly stated Kazuo Hirai Sony Computer Entertainment president, in an interview with the Financial Times.
Continuing to offer his unique perspective on the situation, Hirai-san suggests that feature-for-feature the PS3 represents better value for money, with the claim:
"When you really compare apples to apples, then I think we have a very good value proposition."
Sony has in the past preferred to add value to its bundles as opposed to reducing its bottom line. Hopefully, the reduction to 45nm production will result in an eventual price reduction, but it's been awhile since we last heard at which stage IBM and Sony are currently at with that.

You know what, I'm pissed that there are no choice of colors for PS3 in the UK, it is unfair that we only have the black console. It's not just the japanese or the yanks that may prefer differnet colors I for one would love a gun-metal grey or any other color for that matter. Ps3 in the UK is an expensive piece of kit and we consumers do go out and buy this product so for FCUK sakes................get us some color choices.
The same applies to the Nintendo DSi, this should be released to UK and US at the same time as the Japs get it. Why should we have to wait..............Let's hit Sony and Nintendo where it hurts,.. in their pockets...
There are many people like myself who get pissed of with this but you no what nothing will change unless we boycott buying consoles!!!!

14 million users did this koller forget that the psp and ps2 are also on psn, no diddnt think so not so impressive now is it, also this years gonna be a lot different anyone heard there a ression going on and no one has loads of money to throw around, regardless of power or reliability the 360 is the cheapest next gen console but also blockbuster are still selling the blu-ray player including 6 blu-ray videos for £200 making it cost effective to buy that player and a 360 for less that it will cost to buy a ps3 and 6 blu-ray videos (no second hand rubbish either) 360 arcade game=£130 blu-ray player bundle=£200 total=£330, a ps3 6blu-ray videos=£420 making it £90 more expencive with no games with a game bundle pushing the price to around £310 making it £100 more expencive. still think the ps3 is better value for money.
oh and befor you say it i know you will the wifi unit can be bought for £30 and a 60gb hdd can be bought for £50 (i got a 120gb unit for £40 from pc world and it was brand new all thanks to there online price matching with play ect) even when the wifi and hdd are bought its still cheaper than a ps3

lol ive got a good recomendation the ps3 has now lost the battle as 1 of its selling points has been beaten in every way lol. look in blockbuster video stores in the uk you can now buy a blu-ray player with 6 blu-ray films for £199 effectivly making the player cost £80 dont think you can get a ps3 second hand for that price so now the 360 realy does look a lot better than the ps3 (360 60gb modle with the blockbuster blu-ray player is still cheaper than a ps3 lol) GOOD LUCK SONY FAN BOYS YOUR OUT OF LUCK.
