Nintendo's fantasy sports titles continue with a new name for Namco-Bandai's Wii baseball game...
It may be based around one of the less appealing US sports, however if past "sports" titles are anything to go by, Mario Super Sluggers (the new title for Namco-Bandai's Super Mario Stadium Baseball) could be fairly entertaining.
Taking Mario, Luigi, and co, out to the ball game, Mario Super Sluggers promises to use the Wii Remote to capture the bat swing and pitching motions with the intuitive controls that are the basis for any Nintendo title for Wii. Previous information has revealed the usual suspects will be stepping up to the list, including: Bowser, Bowser Jr, Donkey Kong, Daisy, Dry Bones, Koopa Paratroopa, Luigi, Magikoopa, Mario, Peach, Pianta, Shy Guy, Wario, and Luigi.
"Mario is truly a one-of-a-kind character; clearly fans can't get enough of him and his friends," said Cammie Dunaway, Nintendo of America's executive vice president of Sales & Marketing. "We're giving Wii users brilliant new ways to enjoy him while expanding our series of active-play games."
