Nintendo Announce Paper Mario 2 News

It’s finally been officially announced; now let’s just hope its better then the original…
Intelligent Systems, a development subsidiary of Nintendo responsible for the popular Fire Emblem and Advance Wars series amongst many others, today confirmed that it is currently developing Paper Mario 2 for the GameCube.
The sequel to the hit-and-miss N64 title, which in itself was a spiritual follow-up to the excellent SNES title Mario RPG from Square and Nintendo, is believed to be at a relatively late stage in development with a Japanese release scheduled for later in the year.
These scans (courtesy of Famitsu) depict a number of screens from the title, confirming that both visuals and gameplay will follow closely to its predecessor.
