Team Ninja prepare a whole host of upgrades and enhancements for the first download, and yes there’s a new camera system…
Despite not being the commercial success within Europe that Microsoft would have hoped for, thereās no doubting that Ninja Gaiden fanatics will be pleased to hear that new downloadable content is on the verge of being completed.
From early August fans will be able to download Ninja Gaiden 1.1 for free; all you need is a copy of the game and a subscription to Xbox Live!.
The upgrade features the second round of the Master Ninja Tournament, although Team Ninja have been working on a host of extras and enhancements to be included in the single-player mode.
The upgrade features entirely new characters which have been included in the various single-player stages; whilst the download doesnāt include any new stages, the inclusion of new enemy characters should make replaying worthwhile.
In addition weāre promised a selection of new boss characters, although itās anyoneās guess as to where these will take part, who they will replace or whether they will just join existing bosses.
Thankfully fans will be able to get their hands on three new weapons to slaughter the new enemy. These will be available from the shop, and whilst we donāt know exact details at this present time, we can confirm that a Bo-Staff features is one of the new weapons available.
Perhaps the biggest enhancement comes from the reactions from the fans, which will no doubt be pleased to hear that Tomonobu Itagaki and his team have included a manual camera, allowing you to have full 360 degree control of it; Team Ninja promise that this will be more advanced, so any issues about the camera should hopefully be eliminated.
Finally weāve been told that the actual engine will be speeded up, making the action even faster and requiring even greater reflexes then before.
