Reports from Taiwan speculate on a possible follow-up the repetitive 2006 hack 'n' slash...
Ninety-Nine Nights, the Xbox 360 exclusive 2006 collaboration between Q Entertainment and Phantagram, may not have caught the imagination in Japan or in the West (thanks to the repetitive gameplay), but it seems to have done enough to warrant a sequel - if reports from Taiwan prove accurate.
The latest edition of Famitsu Taiwan mentions the development of Ninety-Nine Nights Rondo, along with a supposed release date of November 2nd across the country - though an official announcement of a follow up is yet to be made (there's always time at Tokyo Game Show in September).
Despite early expectations that it would ignite Japanese interest for Xbox 360, the original floundered on release, with Mistwalker's Blue Dragon and the upcoming Lost Odyssey fighting for Microsoft's console in the Far East. If a sequel is indeed in the works, let's hope that lessons have been learnt.
