Next Lara Croft Model Revealed News

Unknown 20-year old from Bethnal Green the latest to fill Lara's role...

In true time-honoured fashion Eidos today revealed the face of the new Lara Croft model, which can only mean one thing, Tomb Raider: Legend is nearly upon us.

Karima Adebibe was handpicked from thousands of hopefuls in an international search to fill the belt and backpack of videogame's leading lady, and follows an illustrious line-up of Lara's including Lucy Clarkson, Rhona Mitra, Nell McAndrew, Vanessa Demouy, Lara Weller and Angelina Jolie. An unknown from Bethnal Green, London, Karima is a self-confessed tomboy and previously worked in the slightly less glamorous role as a Top Shop sales assistant.

In an attempt to prove her worth as the new Lara Croft, Karima will undertake a gruelling training programme which includes an SAS survival, combat and semi-automatic firing course in Eastern Europe along with a crash course in world archaeology, deportment, elocution and etiquette lessons in order to portray Lady Lara Croft - however she certainly "fills" the role in the most important area (oh dear - Ed).

Once fully brought up to speed, Karima will be lining up a host of international modelling assignments, starring in TV commercials and appearing on daytime chat shows up and down the country for the next two years.

Tomb Raider: Legend is slated for a UK release on the Playstation2, Xbox and PC on April 7th, followed by Xbox 360 and PSP versions later in the year; TVG will have further information soon.

The controls and camera in Tomb Raider Legend are even worse than Tomb Raider AOD. I don't like the analog stick for the caracter movement
