The Hollywood Reporter gets the scoop on a new Star Wars RTS currently in the hands of former Westwood Studio employees...

The Hollywood Reporter has recently conducted an interview with LucasArts President Jim Ward, in which further details on Star Wars: Episode III were detailed alongside the first information of a new RTS currently in development at the US developer.

Confirming that Star Wars: Episode III would provide the âultimate Jedi action fantasy fulfillmentâ, Ward stated that Nick Gillard, stunt coordinator from the films, has been drafted in to ensure the Jedi action movements are as real and true to the performances in the film. Hayden Christensen also worked closely with the team behind the game to ensure his style of light-saber combat as Annakin Skywalker/Darth Vader, has been faithfully replicated.

Moving through the possibility of Harrison Ford approving his likeness and voice for use in an Indiana Jones game, the article confirmed the development of a new Star Wars RTS title currently in development at Petroglyph for the PC. With the promise that this will take the genre into completely new directions, and given the fact that a number of ex Westwood guys involved in the Command & Conquer franchise now work at Petroglyph, this should certainly be an intriguing prospect for RTS and Star Wars fans alike.

Weâll have more information soon.
