Codemasters explains some of the new points made to LMA Manager 2006 on Xbox and PS2...

UK publisher Codemasters has today revealed some of the details surrounding the new Transfer System to be featured in the forthcoming LMA Manager 2006 on Xbox and PlayStation 2. According to Codies the new system will compliment the titleās database and game engine to deliver a greater sense realism than previously achieved in the series. The new system will integrate several new features that will expand the ability of the gamer as a football manager including the option of staggered payments, player swap-deals, sell-on fees, transfers in advance and appearance bonuses.

LMA Manager 2006 will also feature improved AI so that every manager in the game will be individual, and also calculate the various responses made to a managerās offer by the board of a rival club. As well as negotiating deals, the AI will also rate the targeted player on present and future potential, with decisions also being based on the current status of the player (is he suspended or injured for instance), and the current strength in depth of the squad.

After dealing with the board of the club, gamers will then have to deal with the player and his agent, with a large slew of factors swaying his decision to join or not, including whether heāll be playing regular team football, how happy he is at his current club, and whether he has any friends already there at the gamerās club.

LMA Manager 2006 is also set to feature a range of football levels from grass-roots right up to European competition, an evolved 3D engine that will show a playerās reactions throughout the match, a restyled GUI, real-world stadia, training sections, and āFootball Oneā ā“ the in-game TV station that brings the latest news to the managers.

LMA Manager 2006 is set for an October 2005 release on PlayStation 2 and Xbox ā“ weāll have more on it shortly...
