Two new maps and a video are set to appear on Xbox Live Marketplace from Wednesday.
If you're after new content for 'Gears of War', the wait is almost over. To coincide with the launch of The Discovery Channel's new 'Gamer Generation' series, the documentary network has sponsored the first set of 'Gears of War' downloadable content.
Two new maps (Raven Down and Old Bones), and a video will be available to download for free from Xbox Live Marketplace this Wednesday (January 10th). In a homage to Black Hawk Down (and the conclusion to Act One in the Gears story), Raven Down will see gamers battle it out in the streets surrounding a Raven helicopter crash site, whilst Old Bones will take place in the ruins of a museum. Epic Games' Vice President, Mark Rein, also confirmed to Joystiq that a patch would be available for Gears ahead of the content's release.
Additionally, The Discovery Channel will be giving away two million Microsoft Points between January 13th and 14th via the readyaimfuture.com website, though the site won't be available until the big day.
