Link returns to the classic 2D Zelda gameplay on the GBA in a new adventure from Capcom.

Itās a slight case of Honey, I shrunk the Hyrulian when Link discovers a magical hat called the Minish cap which gives our hero the power to shrink to a microscopic scale. When shrunk Link meets the tiny race of Minnish people and, in what has become somewhat a tradition in the 2D Zelda games, travels between the two worlds as he attempts to save them from the evil that threatens them.

The game appears to be built on the engine used for the recent āA Link to the Pastā port to the GameBoy Advance. Link explores dungeons, solves puzzles, battles enemies and fights massive boss monsters in traditional Legend of Zelda fashion. Of course thereās some townsfolk interaction to be had in the quiet moments when Link isnāt swashbuckling.

The game also supports up to 4 players, but we have had no details on this aspect of the game as yet, though we think itās a safe bet that it will be carried out in a similar manner to the Four Swords game in the previous GBA Zelda title.

It appears that our hero is once again away from his homeland of Hyrule, but he will still find the traditional boomerang, bow and other traditional Zelda paraphernalia as he searches for fragmented Kinstones which can be fused together with townsfolk to solve puzzles and uncover secrets.

There will be a few new items available to Link as he progresses, such as the aforementioned Minnish Cap which allows him to travel between the normal world and the microscopic world the Minnish inhabit.

Also new to Link is a suction device that can apparently fire out what it absorbs, as well as being used to suck up rupees and other items from a distance.

Mysteriously, Princess Zelda also seems to make an appearance as can been seen in the final screen shot.

Weāll bring you more as soon as we know itā¦
