Square-Enix reveals further details on the upcoming Nintendo DS Final Fantasy XII spin-off...

As the countdown continues to the European release of Final Fantasy XII (yes, we know that it's been available in the US for a couple of months...), Square-Enix has today revealed a smattering of new details for the title's Nintendo DS spin-off, Revenant Wings.

When news of the game's development was first confirmed, Square-Enix announced that the story would follow FFXII characters Penelo and Vaan, and that most of the gameplay could be played with just the stylus.

The RPG outfit has now revealed to Japanese publication Famitsu, that Revenant Wings will follow Final Fantasy XII's Active Dimension Battle (ADB) system, together with a version of the Gambit system. The game is set to make an appearance at the 2007 Jump Fiesta, which takes place in Japan on the 16th and 17th of December. Further news on Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles - Ring of the Fates (Nintendo DS) and Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles - The Crystal Bearers (Wii) is also expected to be revealed at the event.
